Hearing   09/02/10 – 09/02/10

Description

KFC National Council v. KFC Corp. is a dispute between KFC and its franchisees regarding whether marketing should emphasize fried chicken (the franchisees' position) or grilled chicken (KFC's position), and who gets to decide.

Kentucky Fried Chicken, a Division of Yum! Brands, has been advertising its spicy grilled wings on fire hydrants. The KFC National Council and Advertising Cooperative, Inc., which designs KFC's marketing programs, asserts that KFC should be promoting fried chicken, not grilled chicken.
